Mariah Carey covers Billboard + plans 'Beyoncé'-style album drop...

No one can deny Beyoncé's impact.

REMEMBER THIS POST?!?! One of you guessed correctly it was Mariah Carey. Well done! ;-) Anyway, she graces Billboard magazine and the cover story involves how she will be taking a surprise approach to her new album by unveiling the album title, tracklist, artwork and music via an all-at-once digital release. A physical release at retail is expected to take place a week later. It also explains why MC has not announced the album title despite two weeks left for the scheduled release date. The album follows an array of singles, many of which have flopped sans '#Beautiful'. Other songs released included 'Triumphant', 'Almost Home', 'The Art Of Letting Go' and 'Eternal (You're Mine)'. Billboard will unwrap the full cover story on Monday morning.

Okaaayyy...

The difference with Beyoncé is that major hype was built at the back of her Superbowl performance and demand was there. Tickets for her tour sold out in record breaking time, which was enough to convince the record label that this was a risk she could afford to pull off, and she did. The situation is different with MC. She's released single after single and all but one failed to impact the chart. So yes, I'm frightened in that regard. But I'm just happy the album is finally coming out. My iTunes will be ready. *cheeses*
