Former child star Tristin Mays has shared her experiences of what it was like auditioning for the upcoming Aaliyah biopic. The actress, who once played Shaina on Nickelodeon's Gullah Gullah Island in the 90s, recently auditioned for the role but did not get the part. While taking to Instagram, she describes it as one of her most hardest auditions. The biopic is now in pre-production and will air on VH1. There is no word on who will play the role. However, Keyshia Chante had the closest physical likeness to Aaliyah in my opinion and I think she should still pursue it if the Haughton family is happy for her to do so.
