Jennifer Lopez performs at PowerHouse, Billboard Music Awards + receives Icon Award

After selling over 75 million records worldwide, Jennifer Lopez became the fourth artist and first woman to receive the Icon Award during last night's 2014 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. She sold all those albums with that half an octave vocal range but that's what achievement is all about. Shutting down naysayers.

It also helps that she had her beauty and some smashing bangers to boot. As for her speech, it was so touching, anyone could now feel motivated to run for President of the United States. The night began when she opened the show with a Carnival-themed performance of the official FIFA World Cup song 'We Are One (Ole Ola)' alongside Pitbull and Brazilian singer Cláudia Leitte.

Afterwards, she performed her brand new single 'First Love' in a sexy shimmery catsuit. The Max Martin-produced ballad will appear on her upcoming new album 'A.K.A.', due in stores on June 17th.

PowerHouse also posted the first HQ performance from her set which did not get streamed unfortunately. So check out this Big Whopper of a J.Lo update below.
