New Music: Jhené Aiko – ‘To Love and Die’ (ft. Cocaine 80s)...

It's here! Jhené Aiko drops the first single off her full length debut album 'Souled Out' via Def Jam Records. Featuring Cocaine 80s aka James Fauntleroy, ‘To Love and Die’ sees the singer fawning over a new love interest.

The song sounds okay but it doesn't scream lead single at all. Something about it comes across as very mixtape-ish. I don't think it's as melodic as her previous stuff to be honest.  It does have some grit to it (perhaps to attract more urban airplay?) and it could even be a grower. Jhené will also be performing the song at this Sunday’s BET Awards in Los Angeles. Buy the song on iTunes now.
