Nicole Scherzinger says she scrapped five whole albums...

In a new interview with Digital Spy, Nicole Scherzinger, who has struggled to find her footing as a successful solo star, says that she's ended up scrapping five albums altogether.

If you recall, she dropped a new single called 'Boomerang' a while ago, and then went quiet. No follow-up single. No album. Nothing. In fact, she recorded an entire album for 'Boomerang' and that ended up getting scrapped.

She says:
"Unfortunately I don't know if those songs will ever be heard, but that's just part of it. I have probably five albums, and I wonder if the songs will ever see the light of day. Maybe one day I'll just release songs for my fans? I don't want to confuse people. You have to be in the moment, and we're going with the sound that is right now - fresh and new to us." Read the full interview.
Well, if you take away the 's' from scrapped, it would describe the general public's reaction to her music, hence the reason why those albums never saw the light of day in the first place. The problem has always been the music. Mediocre at best. Now she's starting over with new single 'Your Love' alongside an album entirely produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart.

At least this way, the album will have a cohesive sound, she says. She describes the new music as "midtempo, supercool, super-vibey" with "a little throwback to Janet Jackson's 'Velvet Rope'" and containing "early essences of Sadé", but more current.

Sounds good on paper, but it's Nicole, so you never know with her.
