New Music: Queen & Michael Jackson – ‘There Must Be More To Life Than This’...

Once upon a merry time ago, late legend Freddie Mercury visited fellow late legend Michael Jackson in Los Angeles.

This is when he recorded MJ singing 'There Must Be More To Life Than This' for an unfinished version. The powerful ballad was written by Mercury during sessions for Queen’s 1981 album, 'Hot Space.' He later revived the track during sessions for 1984′s 'The Works', but he never got round to completing it.

A year later, a solo version made its way onto Mercury’s debut solo album, 'Mr. Bad Guy' (released in 1985). The song now makes a comeback using new production, which was remixed by William Orbit.

It mixes Queen’s original backing track with Mercury and MJ’s contrasting vocals and will appear on a two-CD set titled 'Queen Forever', due November 11th. This has to be thee posthumous duet of all posthumous duets in more recent times. Check it out.
