Jazmine Sullivan debuts new song 'Mascara,' off her upcoming album 'Reality Show,' due next year.
On the laidback R&B cut, Jaz sings about trying to keep up with appearances and hiding her flaws from the outside world. The track is a very nice album cut, with a really good concept. The appeal in it is that it's different for her and the lyrics are far from cliche.
“Most people think I’m shallow ’cause I’m always dressed like I’m goin’ out to the club. But I gotta keep up ’cause there’s new chicks poppin’ up every day and they want the same thing,” she sings. Slay a bit, Jazmine! This knocks.
