Rihanna's latest new single
'Work' (featuring
Drake) has reached yet another
Billboard Hot 100 milestone.
The track recently debuted at #9 making it her 27th top 10 hit on the
Billboard Hot 100. She now
ties with
Janet Jackson and
Mariah Carey for the fifth-most top 10s in the Hot 100's history. The only artists with more top 10s are
Michael Jackson, Madonna, Stevie Wonder and the
Beatles (all of whom are legends).
Madonna leads with 38. Rihanna has also reached 27 Hot 100 top 10s faster than any other soloist (10 years and eight months.) Only the
Beatles have reached the sum more quickly (five years). 27 is Rihanna's number.
27th top 10 hit, 27 years old, #27 album debut. It's insane that she's the only artist from her generation that's up there (among the legends at that.) Another day another slay.
