Britney Spears announces VMAs performance + unveils album promo

Britney Spears has just announced that she and G-Eazy will perform their new single 'Make Me' at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
Britney released a VMAs commercial for the performance, set to take place at Madison Square Garden on August 28th. Too little too late? We all expected this, but it's good to get confirmation. The song is not a big hit and THAT video didn't really help. Though the performance could help album sales which drops two days earlier. She is going to have to deliver one hell of a performance for the song to rebound miraculously. Sadly, performance and Britney no longer go hand in hand like it did in the golden days.

She use to be called the VMAs queen because she was always the sole reason to watch the show in the early 2000's. The last time she performed at VMAs was in 2007 and that was a disaster due to her meltdown situation. Though she has come a loooong way since then, I just can't bring myself to get excited about a Britney performance anymore.

Britney's ninth studio album ‘Glory’ drops in stores on August 26th. Check out a recently released promo snap from the album below.
