Usher’s ‘Hands of Stone’ bombs at Box Office

Usher's latest decline doesn't just stop at his music. For his big screen debut ‘Hands of Stone’ (fronted by Robert De Niro & Edgar Ramirez) grossed just $1.7 million over its opening weekend.
Failed to knock out the box office with his role as legendary boxer Sugar Ray

The independent film, a limited release in only 800 theaters, failed to even meet its original gross projection of $2-3 million, finishing 16th at the box office. The film served as a critical favourite with media, but failed to match the same level of acclaim commercially. 'Hands of Stone' is about Roberto Duran's career, but even with it being marketed around Sugar Ray Leonard and Usher, it still couldn't secure those bums on seats.
