Madonna thinks ageism is the same as racism and homophobia...

Although it has happened, the elderly are not consistently tortured or murdered for being "too old," so it's actually a weak arguement for Madonna to compare racism and homophobia with such.

These days a lot of people are not even living to see 60 (and this coming from my mam who is slightly younger than Madge and have attended funerals nearly every week this year for friends not hitting that milestone). She should actually be grateful. Where I come from, getting old is seen as a blessing, not a curse. Her comments, lifted from her cover interview with Rolling Stone, come after she was recently blacklisted from BBC Radio 1's playlist for being too old.

I honestly can't decide what was worse from Britney's routine last night. 

The fact that Britney's weave acted as her tail for a moment or her struggle jump before the weave succumbed to the floor.

Kanye West kind of confirms he's touring with Rihanna this year...

Hot off his blazing performance at last night's Brit Awards, BBC Radio 1 had Kanye West in for another interview with Zane Lowe. During that visit, he sort of confirmed a joint tour with Rihanna. 

Kanye said on touring with his Barbadian collaborator: "I don't believe I'm supposed to confirm or not confirm." Okay, so it's not as thorough as posting the link to buy tickets on social media but this is soooo happening! She's one of the hottest entities in pop music and the same can be said for him in his Hip Hop domain as well. It's a win-win situation for those two. Watch the full interview inside.

Leona Lewis single could be out in two weeks...

Heat radio are teasing that they may very well hear the new Leona Lewis single in as early as two weeks time. As for when we get to hear it, time will tell.

If Leona's new album is pegged for a summer release, then a March launch for the lead single sounds just about right. We have already heard the first song from the album, a fiery ballad called 'Fire Under My Feet,' which has been teased through various previews in recent weeks. This new organic sound she's putting out sounds promising but can Leona really come back and make another hit?

Hairstylist Ramirez describes Ciara's new look for 'Jackie' album packaging...

Celebrity hairstylist Cesar Ramirez confirms he shot a video and two album packagings this week for Ciara’s new album 'Jackie.'

Ramirez believes her new look (long and dark) is a 180 from the short and blonde they had for her self-titled album last year. "People are going to be excited when they see the album packaging. It’s art." he says. Experimenting is cool, but black is the way forward. Darker hues certainly brings out the best in Ciara's features which I find striking. Gorgeous woman.

Chris Brown & Tyga's sales projections aren't looking so good...

Welp. Drake is somewhere... not even laughing this time, but cackling. Chris Brown has spent a week trash talking him in interviews only for Drake to slaughter him in album sales this week.

Projected sales for Chris Brown and Tyga's 'Fan of a Fan: The Album' stand at a modest 50-55K (70-75K with streaming). Then Drake, who sold 530,000 copies of his new album 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' in the first week, has more than doubled CB's sales in the second week.

Unfortunately, a dancer dragged her backwards when he attempted to remove her cloak (which she now claims was tied too tightly) during her Brit Awards performance of new single ‘Living For Love.’ I have to admit that at almost 60, her recovery game was amazing. I don't think I could have done it. I think I might have just lay there and cried like a bitch, but then again that explains why she's uber famous and I'm not, lol.

Chris Brown banned from Canada, two shows cancelled & Trey Songz is pissed...

Drake is somewhere... laughing. Live Nation has confirmed with CBC News that two of Chris Brown's Canadian shows in Toronto and Montreal have been cancelled "due to immigration issues."

Shortly before deleting his tweets, the singer wrote: "Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto. The good people of the Canadian government wouldn't allow me entry. I'll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!" As of writing, refunds are being processed, and tourmate Trey Songz is not a happy bunny.

Trey Songz announces seventh studio album...

Trey Songz announces two albums today. The first one being his seventh studio album 'Tremaine' (his first real name), and then the second being 'Trigga Reloaded,' the repackaged version of his latest album 'Trigga.' 

Tremaine says this new album will promote more romantic themes and cater to the ladies. So will this signal an end to his horrible bitches and booty music? I won't bet on it. 'Trigga Reloaded' is due April 14th, and you can check out his 'Nice & Slow' performance in tribute to Usher below.

Another song from the 'Home' soundtrack has now presented itself today, and Jennifer Lopez is the delivery woman. Here, she drops the official lyric video for 'Feel The Light.' 

The cut serves as a heartwarming, uplifting ballad, which sees Jennifer spreading positive words of encouragement to anyone going through a dark moment. Produced by Stargate and written by Kiesza, the lyrical content is pretty much cliche soundtrack cheddar and the song practically goes nowhere. However, it is actually quite kiddie friendly, so at least it appeals to all audiences.

The song, which samples Bang La Decks' 'Utopia,' is a different change of pace and direction for Sevyn. Pumping up the clubs everywhere with this synth-heavy dancefloor stomper is clearly the intention here. Of course the beat goes in, and it's quite the gym-worthy bop too. Check it out.

A visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon saw Christina Aguilera impersonating her 90s pop rival Britney Spears with 'This Little Piggy.' 

This was done last night during a game of 'Wheel Of Musical Impressions.' Christina had Britney's nasally vocals down pat, even the quivering tone too. In fact, it was almost as good as Nicole Scherzinger's impression. Hilarious!

Consisting of marching drums, and a very engaging chorus, the song could easily be the younger sibling to her Coldplay collab 'Princess of China.' Nice song for a soundtrack. Rihanna & Kanye West joint tour may be a thing...

Live Nation may have unwittingly announced a joint tour between Rihanna and Kanye West. 

Live Nation unveiled a tour date on their French website, featuring both Rihanna and Kanye in Laululava, Estonia on July 25th. Despite the one date showing up, speculation is rife that more European dates are set to be announced for the summer. This has been an ongoing rumour since last December when Rihanna tweeted this. We know she's planning to go on tour this year so this may have some strength. Start saving your pennies!

As ever, Chris Brown continues to be the PR nightmare that he is today. During a visit to the Breakfast club, he made an eye-raising claim that his ex Rihanna won't be able to find another man on his level.

His response came when asked to address Kanye West’s line “if you leave Mickey you gon' end up with a Goofy,” a reference to his rollercoaster on/off romance with Karrueche Tran.

Did someone forgot to take their meds today? A few hours ago, Chris Brown said to one of his young fans that "none of y'all matter and y'all will never matter." That was before referring to them as "little dickheads."

The fan's response? A picture of herself in tears. Who says this to their fans?  I mean, if his fans didn't matter, he would not have a career. I saw the screen grab and thought it was photoshopped (until I went to the fan's Instagram page myself and saw his comment right at the very top). So no fan is allowed to disagree with his actions without him popping off? I'm assuming the fan was talking about his latest batch of interviews today, which I'm about to watch (and blog about in due time.)

I absolutely love Beyoncé's Stella McCartney dress. Her body, and that waist. Werk, bitch. Pregnancy rumours can go away... for now.

I just don't like this short wig she keeps on revisiting. I think it ages her quite a bit to be honest. Bey and her sister Solange were certainly getting in the groove of things. The joys of LA life after a recent move there. Bey also had a girly catch-up with her one time Pepsi rival Jennifer Lopez, who kept it sheer sexy in a Zuhair Murad Spring 2015 Couture dress. Jennifer Hudson performs 'I Can't Let Go' at Oscars...

If Jennifer Hudson isn't careful, people are only going to see her as nothing more than just a tribute act.

Looks like Jen and Rita opted for the same short hairstyle for their performances last night. Jen, who first performed 'I Can't Let Go' when she was a guest star on musical TV series Smash, delivered an emotional performance during the 'In Memoriam' tribute. I like her tone, but not always her style of singing. The excessive screaming can be a bit much on the ear sometimes, but here, she kept her vocals controlled and she sounded great.

Despite starting off on a shaky note, Rita Ora's performance of her Oscar-nominated song 'Grateful,' was quite the powerful affair.

Elegantly dressed in a custom Vera Wang dress, Rita's potential was very much evident. Of course no one is doubting she can sing. She just needs to learn better vocal control. Anyway, it won't hurt her career but I'm not that optimistic it will help her break the States either. She just needs a moment, and for me, this wasn't really it.

Rocking a flowy custom-made Azzedine Alaia gown, Gaga showed off her impressive vocal range, which came complete with a touch of class... and a well deserved standing ovation.

If I wanted fame, or if I wanted Chris Brown to "revive" my career (he says he's revived many), I'd pick a beef with somebody like... Rihanna. Someone who is still relevant. Does Drake really need a Chris Brown beef to gain recognition though? Let's face it, Drake sells albums regardless. I swear, Chris can't live a day without drama. If anything, I'm starting to believe he thrives on it.

Tabloids mistakenly assumed Rihanna was dating actor Leonardo DiCaprio. The only reason why they were showing up at the same places was because Ri is actually dating Leo's good friend Richie Akiva. In fact, Richie, who is part owner of 1OAK night club in New York City, was sat next to Rihanna when she attended the Zac Posen fashion show earlier this week. It's only a matter of time before they go public!

Tom Ford's Autumn/Winter 2015 Fashion Show in LA took place last night. Beyoncé wore a SS14 long black crystal mosaic dress, while Jay Z looked crisp in a black Tom Ford suit. It's been a challenging week for the Carters. 
Jay Z's alleged son is fighting him for a paternity test, his best friend Kanye West has claimed Beyoncé is inspired by his porn star wife and then those un-retouched L'Oreal photos took a leak. If Bey sees one more paternity suit thrown her way, it will be too soon. What is it they do? Smile it up for the cameras and act oblivious to the drama. Dark lipstick on Bey looks great!

TLC raises $430,000 for new album after Kickstarter campaign ends...

The thought of a new TLC album does not appeal to me like it did 15 years ago. But I'm glad 4,201 people donated to TLC's Kickstarter campaign so that it actually gets to happen.

Originally, the campaign had an initial goal of $150,000 and they went well beyond that. Today, it came to an end raising a grand total of $430,255! The funds will go towards the recording of their fifth and final studio album. Good for them. But can you still call it a TLC album?

Looks like Nicole Scherzinger got dropped from Epic Records...

Following the poor UK performance of her latest album 'Big Fat Lie,' Nicole Scherzinger's name has been removed from the artist roster on Epic’s official website. In other words, she's seemingly been dropped from the label.

Guess it's back to doing West End shows full time, or a possible return to the Pussycat Dolls. It's an option, but even with that I feel she may have left it too late. She's getting too old by music industry rules and she doesn't have a good ear for quality music. Unfortunately, as talented a singer she is, the odds have been well and truly stacked against her.

Rihanna's 'FourFiveSeconds' edges closer to #1 on Billboard Hot 100...

Rihanna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney's new tune 'FourFiveSeconds' climbs from #6 to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week!

That is with just a video and one performance. Brilliant! This also serves as a personal victory for McCartney. It's his first time scoring a top five hit in 31 years. Over 200+ unretouched photos from Beyoncé's 2013 L'Oreal ad campaign have surfaced online, and people are having meltdowns.

Somebody getting fired? We know the action she took over those unflattering Super Bowl pics. On the plus side, this shows she's no robot. Like the rest of us, Bey encounters the occasional breakout, even under pounds of make-up. She's still a beauty though, "flaws & all."

Chris Brown's fur coat makes him PETA's easy target...

This is PETA's angry response towards the singer and his girlfriend for rocking matching fur during a fashion show for New York Fashion Week. He rightfully told them to "suck his d*ck." Real clap back. If I recall, Diddy is one of the BIGGEST offenders and I have yet to see PETA target him with their pick 'n' choosy asses.

This class act is something we could get use to. Rihanna and designer Zac Posen wore matching maroon outfits at his runway fashion show during New York Fashion week last night. This colour is slaying. It looks wonderful against her skin tone.

She looks divine and very demure in this custom made Zac Posen dress, while playfully posing for pics and sitting in on his runway presentation. I would rob the dress off your back given the chance. Sophistication at its finest. Though the fit of it varies at certain angles, it's nice from these selections, and Rihanna certainly gets prettier with each appearance. Stunning woman.

Chris Brown's 'Ayo' performance on Fallon + ‘Post To Be’ video premiere...

'Between The Sheets' tour mates Chris Brown and Tyga dropped by 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' yesterday to perform their new single 'Ayo.' 

Rocking Timberlands and parkas, the pair paced back and fourth as they exchanged verses with some help from The Roots. So this is the bollocks people enjoy listening to? Perhaps for CB's contribution, because photos of his opening slot show nobody is here for Tyga at all! Apparently, he encountered a Keri Hilson.

CBS aired an 'All-Star Grammy Salute: Songs In The Key Of Life' in honour of Motown legend Stevie Wonder. Beyoncé kicked things off by singing 'Fingertips' before guitarists/singers Ed Sheeran and Gary Clark Jr joined her on stage for 'Master Blaster (Jammin’)' and 'Higher Ground' respectively.

Sporting a black and gold mini dress, fishnet stockings, and stilettos, the singer let loose by executing a whole lot of choreographed moves on stage. The entire routine was dripping with sex! She received assistance from male backing dancers dressed in black, while sounding fantastic and serving up lots of personality and charisma for the audience. Following her demure appearance at the Grammys, Sasha Fierce officially entered the building!

Faith Evans performs ‘Fragile’ on ‘Queen Latifah’...

One can certainly count on Ms Evans to sing her face off during promotional duties for new single 'Fragile,' off latest album, 'Incomparable.'

Faith's set was very lively. She appeared looking very beautiful and classy in a glittery black dress, while her vocals soared and remained really soulful. Leona Lewis teases new album with studio footage...

Leona Lewis, who has now finished recording her fifth studio album, teases another brand new song through some backstage studio footage.

Her vocals remain strong as ever and the music sounds like she has a lot of things to get off her chest. This last line rings a bell: "Just when you thought you dropped me, I gotta drop the news." Possible dig at Simon Cowell's record label Syco? If so, I'm so here for Leona's shade! Her new album is slated to drop this summer via her new deal with Universal Music's Island Records.

Ariana Grande premieres apocalyptic video for ‘One Last Time’...

When the world is coming to an end and catastrophic comets are crashing down on earth, the one thing Ariana wants to do is share her last intimate moment with her boyfriend.

The post-apocalyptic concept could have been executed better, in my opinion. Rather than have her walk randomly into other people's homes, it could have been more action-packed with a better plot/story/direction.

NBA performers: Tamia, Christina Aguilera & Ariana Grande...

Performance festivities for the NBA All-Star game last night kicked off with a throwback set by Christina Aguilera. This came complete with the Rockettes as backup dancers and a rap contribution from Nas.

Although her sometimes growling vocals were all over the place, Aggy really went there with the choreography and it was a set I thoroughly enjoyed.

Both Beyoncé and Rihanna opted to rock denim during their front row appearances among the star-studded audience at the NBA All-Star game in New York City last night.

Keeping it nice and casual, music's leading black females looked to be enjoying the game. Rih, who had BFF Melissa at her side, was enjoying a nice little chat with Hollywood actor Ethan Hawke, while Bey engaged in conversation with husband Jay Z and her cousin Angela Beyincé. This hair colour on Beyoncé is everything. Madison Square Garden was certainly the place to be!

Kelly Rowland comes out for New York Fashion Week...

Titan's mama is glowing here, but this is not the best look I've seen on Kelly. I think it's the two-coat thing that's throwing everything off for me. I'm not sure how cold it is in NYC, but I'd say Kelly must be pretty damn cold. 

She is keeping the results of her intense work-outs under wraps for now, although she's been documenting her progress on Instagram. When she's ready to drop that album, you just know she's going to floor everyone pretty much like Ciara did a few months ago.

Justin Timberlake shows up for SNL's 40th special...

A lot of people wanted the rumour of *N Sync reuniting for SNL's 40th Special to be true so badly. Of course I knew better.  In order to get an *N Sync reunion out of Justin, they would have had to ritually sacrifice their own mothers to get it. 

Justin has always reacted badly whenever people asked him about reuniting with his old group for a tour or album. I find it disturbing that anyone would treat where they came from like it were a piece of dog sh*t they had just trod on.

Rihanna covers 'W' Korea (three alternative covers)...

*UPDATED* In celebration of their tenth anniversary, Rihanna graces three covers for Korea's W magazine, all shot by celebrity photographer Dennis Leupold.

I really like the direction of the shoot and how it's giving major vintage vibes. The hair and styling looks dated, but it works. Rihanna makes it work. The entire shoot was done in downtown L.A. which sees Rihanna in all Dior ensembles. Check out the other two HQ covers and assisting photoshoot inside.
