A pregnant Janet Jackson spotted out & about

Back in Los Angeles, Janet Jackson was spotted for the first time since the announcement she was having a baby! Her brother Tito publicly confirmed that the 50-year-old was carrying the baby herself.

Although we don't get to see the bump, I'm definitely convinced. That face screams pregnancy all the way, and her body seems to have filled out significantly. At present, it is not yet known when the baby is due. I hope she's carrying a little girl. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a mini Janet running around? She'd be soooo pretty!

Usher delivers epic performance of ‘Crash’ on ‘Fallon’

Usher paid a visit to ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,’ where he performed his new single ‘Crash.’ In the performance, he is seen dancing to make it look like it's in slow motion and delivers an effortless vocal. It was all sorts of epic.

I thought there was actually something wrong with the video! I can almost forgive him for releasing such a mediocre song of sorts, and for that BET Awards performance. Although it wasn't horrendous, it was very underwhelming for what we've come to expect from a seasoned performer like Usher. Now let's go back and watch this epic performance all over again...

Rihanna premieres ‘Goodnight Gotham’ video

Remember the R8 experience?! Back in December 2014, Rihanna shot a video clip in Paris where fans were invited to the site to participate in the video.

She was doing promo for her as yet released album 'ANTi' at the time and is seen running straight into a mob of crazed fans in Trocadero Square (she's better than I cos this wouldn't be me. This is why Navy f*cks with her.) The song used in the video is 'Goodnight Gotham' which serves as a bonus track off the project. I was wondering what happened with this footage. I guess it got pushed under the rug following the Tidal fracas. Still, it's nice she released it while in Paris for the tour.

Mariah Carey covers Complex

Mariah Carey covers the August/September 2016 issue of Complex magazine. Despite the excessive photoshop, I really like the photoshoot. She looks a little awkward in some of the pics, but I can't fault the imagery. It's definitely better than her recent one with 'Clash.'

This is the type of styling and imagery she should be using in her actual music videos. I hope she makes a return to music next year. Sadly, I don't think music is a priority for Mariah anymore. She is now at a place where if she wants to make more music, she'll do it for her fans and for the fun of it. After all, she has nothing else to prove. Click here to read the entire cover story.

JoJo premieres 'F*ck Apologies' video (ft. Wiz Khalifa)

JoJo's third studio album 'Mad Love' drops October 14th via Atlantic Records. What's more is that she's just dropped her Wiz Khalifa assisted new single 'F*ck Apologies.' The song is cute, a nice little urban-pop bop you can jam to in the car this summer.

It's breezy, catchy and feels a lot more authentic than anything she's released so far. I'm not in love with it, but at least it doesn't sound like a total flop. In fact, it could actually do something, if properly promoted. Though this still isn't the JoJo I've been waiting for, 'F*ck Apologies' serves as an upgrade from her very mediocre tringles EP. The Francesco Carrozzini directed video is sort of blah but she looks great all the same. Welcome back!

Britney Spears to headline iHeart Radio Festival

Britney Spears will perform at the iHeart Radio Festival alongside Drake and Ariana Grande on September 23rd and 24th. She will close out the show on day two. That's big. Brit Brit is performing at a music festival for the first time in like 10 years.

It's probably going to be pre-recorded. So fans have to wait two months for a performance which may not even be live. A performance at the VMAs seems unlikely because she's very Vegas-bound these days.  New single 'Make Me' might even lose some momentum. It would have made more sense to debut it at the Billboard Music Awards. This week, the track debuted at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 96,000 copies sold.

Listen to Fantasia's new album ‘The Definition Of…’ + sales predictions

According to Hits Daily Double, Fantasia's new album ‘The Definition Of…’ is set to open with first week sales of 28K -32K (29K - 34K SPS). This should at least be enough to garner her a top 10 position on the Billboard 200.

As for the album, it isn't better than 'Side Effects of You', but it has its moments.  Labels just don't see value in R&B music, so they're not motivated to support it, promote it or market it. As a result, it doesn't sale. 'Wait For You' does have some crossover appeal but she's not Beyoncé or Rihanna and so her music will always continue to go unnoticed by the masses.

Fantasia debuts new gospel anthem on GMA

Fantasia booked a performance segment on Good Morning America with her newly debuted gospel cut 'I Made It' this week (produced by Tye Tribbett). I don't quite love the song but it has its nice moments.

She was serving pure riffs and runs with her testimony and delivered something majorly positive, contemporary and churchy. The song has a really nice message, and why shouldn't it? After everything she's been through in her past, she sure was answering her true calling while catching the holy spirit. 'I Made It' is featured on her fifth studio album ‘The Definition Of…’ which dropped this past Friday on July 29th.

Watch: En Vogue & June’s Diary perform together on ‘Greatest Hits’

Last night the legendary En Vogue looked like they were attempting to pass the torch down to Kelly Rowland's new girl group June’s Diary. The two groups took the stage on ABC’s ‘Greatest Hits,’ for a trip down memory lane. Of course being the legends that they are, En Vogue killed it.

Why is Rita Ora the new host of ‘America’s Next Top Model’?

Rita Ora has become the official new host of VH1's revamped ‘America’s Next Top Model.’ She replaces supermodel Tyra Banks after 22 cycles. Fans are not happy, but can you blame them? Out of all the fitting faces they could have chosen for this gig, Rita just comes across as a really odd choice.

Calvin Harris & Tinashe seen together for first time since rumours of romance

It has been rumoured for the past week that Tinashe has struck up a romance with hitmaker Calvin Harris and yesterday, the pair were spotted (for the first time) on a quiet dinner date in Los Angeles. Tinashe must be a sucker for punishment.

Mariah 'in denial' Carey covers 'Clash'

Mariah Carey covers 'Clash' magazine and opens up on motherhood in the latest issue. I think her real body looks nice. She's lost weight and still maintains curves in all the right places. As we all know though, this is MC and you can never expect her to be real about the way she looks when it comes to magazine and album covers.

Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ disputed for picking up FOUR Emmy Award nominations

Beyoncé’s latest album ‘Lemonade’ picked up four Emmy nominations earlier this week, but that didn't go down well with certain media. Billboard were FORCED to rewrite their Beyoncé Emmy article after they (falsely) implied the project was released outside the nomination eligibility period.

Tinashe's new single 'Superlove' sounds like a rejected Ciara cut

Tinashe hooks up with producers The-Dream and Tricky Stewart for new single 'Superlove,' which sounds basic as hell. It's the type of basic that should be a hit on paper, at least. The uptempo love jam dishes up a synth-driven pop song with some 80s influences.

Britney Spears debuts new single 'Make Me' (ft. G-Eazy)

Britney Spears teams up with Oakland rapper G-Eazy for her official lead single 'Make Me.' The cut serves as a slow-burning, synth heavy ballad courtesy of British producer BURNS, and songwriter Joe Janiak. 'Make Me' has a nice and sultry urban pop sound, but nothing special.

J.Lo dragged by black Twitter + 'Today Show' performance

Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda performed 'Love Make The World Go Round' on NBC’s 'Today Show', which served as a powerful yet lively tribute to the Orlando victims. She was later dragged by black Twitter for tweeting the 'All Lives Matter' hash tag earlier today, which lead to her deleting the tweet. Not the smartest move if she wanted to retain her black card.

Britney Spears previews new song ‘Private Show’

Britney Spears has previewed the first song off her upcoming new album during some behind the scenes footage of her new fragrance 'Private Show.' The song shares the exact same name as the scent. 'Private Show' is a very mature sound for Britney and definitely points to a more R&B direction.

Maxwell's first week album sales

Maxwell's new album 'blackSUMMERS'night' debuted on the Billboard 200 at #3 with 59,000 (57,000 in pure album sales). I've been a long term fan of Maxwell, but I have to admit this new album was a complete and utter letdown. It didn't do anything for me, which is quite damning because at present no other R&B male is putting out decent music.

Mariah Carey caught in photoshop storm (yet again)

Mariah Carey and her fiance James Packer continue their global vacation as they arrive in London via helicopter. She shared a recent pic of herself walking down the steps of a private jet and looking the slimmest she's looked since her 'American Idol' days. We know she's lost weight but not to THAT extent. That wonderful photoshop diet strikes again.

Kelly Rowland glows at Hip Hop Honors

Kelly Rowland looked smoking hot at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors in NYC last night. She is such a doll and her skin always looks like silk. She stays glowing and her husband is a very fortunate man. Keyshia Cole looked good too. Now we await for them both to put out their new music. It's about time.

Fergie's so desperate to be relevant

Fergie proved she certainly wasn't crotch shy when she performed new single 'M.I.L.F. $' live for the first time at London's Wireless festival over the weekend. You'd think a 41-year-old mother to a young son is far too old to be dressing like that on stage. Being a milf doesn't mean you have to revert to being extra trashy!

Ciara & Russell Wilson tie the knot in Britain!

Congratulations to Ciara and her beau Russell Wilson who officially got hitched yesterday! After a year of dating, the pair wed in the Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. All of Ciara's best friends and family were there, including LaLa Anthony, Serena Williams, Kelly Rowland and Jennifer Hudson. Beautiful couple. Wish them many happy years together.

Ciara performs at Essence festival (full performances)

Ciara performed onstage during last night's Essence festival at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. This chick does the same mediocre dance moves every year and each time, it's done with a little less endurance and energy. Peep a couple of her performances below.

Mariah Carey brings out Jermaine Dupri & Da Brat at Essence festival

Mariah Carey brought her Las Vegas residency and recent tour to her headlining set at Essence Festival over the weekend. Jermaine Dupri came out for 'It’s Like That' and Da Brat came out for the 'Honey' remix. Ah, just like the good 'ol days. Mims served legs, boobs, vocals and a plethora of hits along the way.

Beyoncé displays major cake at London concert

Beyoncé hit the stage at Wembley Stadium‬ in London during her 'Formation' world tour over the weekend. She debuted a brand new outfit, while performing new music off  'Lemonade,' and a catalog of hits. She truly was serving that Texas Bama cake loud and proud!

Video Premiere: Fergie - ‘M.I.L.F $.’

Fergie's new song sounds like a rejected Iggy Azalea B-side. Not in a good way either. The video was fun and featured cameos from fellow celebrity milfs Ciara, Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and more. ‘M.I.L.F $’ is lifted from her long-awaited sophomore album ‘Double Duchess,’ due later this year.

Video Premiere: Rihanna - 'Sledgehammer'

Ethereal alien Rihanna goes intergalactic for the visuals of her haunting 'Star Trek Beyond' ballad 'Sledgehammer.' Very cool video, which was really unexpected. Interesting tidbit is that Rihanna is the first artist to use just an IMAX camera for the entire visuals. Pow.
