The biggest highlight of 2014 was Solange beating up Jay Z in that elevator. It shows that Beyoncé's relationship isn't without its faults and that it's not as picture perfect as they try so hard to publicly portray. That is what made the footage so shocking, because this family is so good at hiding their flaws. Image and perception is everything to them. Of course Bey was not going to put that in her happy memories of 2014 collage.

“So you think I fell off” sings Usher, on his new trap banger 'Still Got It.' He's clearly been reading the blogs in regards to his decline, poor album sales and dwindling popularity. Now when someone says they still got it, that's their way of saying they're still relevant or at least trying to convince us of it. Remember when Ashanti did a similar song recently? As an overall performer, he clearly still has it.

A fiery woman can't be tamed is the message Ameriie puts across in new song 'Mustang.' It serves as a laid-back alt-urban number, and it really isn't a bad song. It's just a little dated, like the production and synths could easily have been lifted off 2007's 'Because I Love It.' That would make sense, because she's currently working on two albums, 'BILI' (a sequel to 'Because I Love It') and 'Cymatika, Vol. 1.'

Apparently, Jessie J's biggest success in the States came from behind the scenes of 'Party in the U.S.A.' which she co-wrote alongside Dr. Luke and veteran songwriter Claude Kelly. She originally wrote it for herself but later gave it to Miley Cyrus. In a new interview with the UK edition of Glamour, she reveals the extent of how much she reaped the benefits off that one song.

Barbados is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Why would anyone have work on the brain? Shouldn't that be the last thing on your mind? It should all be about bikini's and enjoying Rum Punch on hot golden beaches. Not in Rihanna's case. She spent her Christmas holiday in her native homeland, but it wasn't all play. She released a photo of herself in the studio recording music for her new album. Hope we hear s'um soon!

If it were up to me, Britney's entire wardrobe for her  'Piece Of Me' residency would recieve a major overhaul. I absolutely hate the leotards she's been wearing at her shows. They do nothing for the hot body she works so hard for. This new outfit for 'Me Against The Music' shows off her more casual and laid back side, and even some hints of oldschool Britney despite that Britney being nowhere to be seen in her performances.

Chris Brown & Karrueche wants the world to know they're officially back together...

Did these two fools even break-up or was their nasty exchange all a publicity stunt? I don't even know why they bother announcing their break-ups. Predictably, they will only put on a united front two weeks later. Chris and Karrueche were spotted at Sean Kingston's Christmas party together all hugged up, days after she took to Instagram and flaunted some expensive looking rings on her finger.

On Saturday 27th, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz named their newborn son Genesis Ali Dean. He arrived at 1:52AM, weighing 6 lbs and 5 oz. I gotta admit the name is not one I'm crazy about in particular, as I feel it would have been cute for a girl. Perhaps that is what they were hoping for. Looking at the bright side, at least they can call him Gene for short. Congrats to them all the same.

Chris Brown & Karrueche Tran spotted leaving Playhouse nightclub together in L.A.

Whatever Chris Brown has in his pants must be super dynamite. He has this vicious tendency to physically, emotionally AND verbally abuse the women he is suppose to love, only for them to keep running back to him again. In the early hours of the morning, Karrueche and Chris were spotted walking out of Playhouse nightclub together in L.A. only to be surrounded by security during their departure, and leaving in separate cars.

Solange has done quite well building a brand for herself. Of course nowhere near on the level of her sister's, but that's to be expected since she's not the superstar sibling. She's done campaign after campaign, creative directed for Puma and built quite a profile for herself as a vintage fashionista. She certainly won't be losing any sleep over the fact that her dad sold her album for a paltry $1.96 at his recent garage sale.

Majesty is going to be such a very happy bunny this Christmas. Rihanna did some shopping for her little cousin at Toys R' Us yesterday. Rihanna's blue jacket is so fierce! I love it. Ri is going to spoil Majesty rotten. She caused quite a commotion when people realised she was there. It must be so cool being that age and having a cousin like Rihanna.Though, not always so cool to be Rihanna when all you want to do is shop in peace.

I've seen some really classic falls on stage. Everything from Beyoncé to Michelle Williams, so this little tumble (if you can call it that) in which Mariah Carey had at the ‘Beacon Theatre’ this past weekend, is really no big deal. And then again... it kind of is. This doesn't normally happen to her, so now that it has, she will probably have one of her special assistants on hand whose job it is to stand behind her to stop her from falling backwards.

Bait Solange all you want. She may have kicked Jay Z's ass in that elevator, but she has nothing but respect for his protege Rihanna. Even more so, now that they are both creative directors at Puma. One night before she wraps up her residency at New York's Beacon Theater, Mariah received a backstage visit from the 'Fame' pop empress. Mimi will wrap up her six-show residency on December 22nd after kicking off a string of dates last week on December 15th.

As you probably already know, Madonna took the internet by storm this weekend, unexpectedly releasing SIX songs to iTunes off her upcoming new album ‘Rebel Heart.’ In order to get the songs, fans had to pre-order the album first. A large portion of her music leaked recently and she's already expressed her anger about it. So she's decided to take action and release six of the completed versions that got out prematurely.

In promotion of their new film 'The Boy Next Door', Jennifer Lopez and Ryan Guzman ramp up the sexual chemistry in the new issue of 'Latina' magazine. Sexy photoshoot. She looks incredible. They both do, although I don't even know who he is! The film is due to be released next month. Then to cap it all off, she releases a new promo clip for her upcoming 'Dance Again' tour documentary. According to legendary songwriter Diane Warren (via Twitter), Lady Gaga "outsings just about any singer in pop music" during vocal exercises. In fact, "an all-time classic was born!" when they hit the studio over the weekend. Never could imagine Gaga singing a Diane Warren song, so this should be interesting! Warren hasn't penned a "memorable" song in recent times, so I'll take that "classic" statement with a pinch of salt.

Usher rocks Graham Norton with 'Good Kisser'...

The new arrangement of 'Good Kisser' that Usher performed on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ this week was pretty hot. It is such an underrated song and should have done much better commercially. The song just doesn't have that 'instant' factor, as clearly, it is one of those growers. Sadly, people don't want growers. They want a song that engages the listener's ear straight away.

It's the soul that needs the surgery. Yup, a Beyoncé lyric Dawn may have become all too familiar with these last few days. The former Danity Kane singer has already found herself defending her drastic plastic surgery this week. She took to Twitter to put a fan in check who told her, “God don’t recognize you @DawnRichard,” and she replied: “As long as the checks still recognize me we good.”

The holidays are upon us, and 2015 is just around the corner. Unfortunately, Miguel's music continues to remain one-dimensional. I'm just here listening to his three-song EP, which he has just dropped via Soundcloud earlier today. They sound like they would blend in perfectly with his last album, the Grammy nominated 'Kaleidoscope Dream.'

I love an underdog. Some people may not consider Leona Lewis an underdog given the global success of that first album. Sales for the albums released after that one have dramatically declined to a point where she became a struggle artist and fell off, HARD... almost like, none of that success ever even happened. But this new song she has just previewed off her new album sounds very promising. I'm impressed!

Throwing yourself into a mob of screaming fans could be seen as dangerously cool had it not been premeditated with cameras and burly bodyguards. It's still exciting though, as it's all for a good cause in Rihanna's case. The Bajan beauty has just started doing stuff to prepare for the release of R8, known otherwise as Rihanna album #8.  That new album of hers is finally coming, or so it seems...

Mirror, mirror on the wall? Who's the trillest of them all? Very entertaining to say the least, but when has Bruno ever not provided the entertainment? ‘Uptown Funk’ will appear on Mark Ronson’s upcoming album 'Uptown Special', due January 13th.

Seeing new Janet Jackson pictures is so refreshing. Since marrying her billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana, Ms. Jackson has become such a recluse. She's completely distanced herself from the music industry and refuses to put out another pop record. Hmph! Wissam seems like a good man though, and the couple are always looking happy to use their name and wealth to raise awareness for charity.

Alicia Keys debuts 'Somewhere In The City,' an unreleased cut from the recording sessions of her 2012 album 'Girl On Fire.' 

The gorgeous piano ballad was unveiled on her website AKVault.com as part of her '12 Days of Christmas' giveaways. A snippet was previously heard at the end credits of her documentary, 'Keep A Child Alive With Alicia Keys.'

Mariah Carey kicks off Christmas concerts in NYC...

Christmas queen Mariah Carey kicked off her five sold-out shows at New York's Beacon Theatre last night.

MC even had a little cry on stage, prior to her split from estranged husband Nick Cannon earlier this year. According to The New York Post, the 80 minute show featured a ballet troupe, a gospel choir, a clutch of carolers, several acrobats and hyperactive kid dancers.

Following the recent release of her '#ByeFelicia' mixtape, Jordin Sparks has signed to 'Louder Than Life.' 

This is a record label via Sony Music, which was founded by music executive and producer Salaam Remi. “I am very excited to be working alongside Salaam Remi on my next album,” she said in a new press release issued this week.

Earlier today, Rihanna was officially named Creative Director of Puma. According to WWD, she will oversee the direction of the sporting brand’s womenswear line, and flew to Puma’s headquarters in Germany this week to meet with the design team. She picked out colours, styles, and also discussed the line’s direction.

Looks like their new friendship with Taylor is blossoming rather nicely. After all, she was spotted dancing next to Beyoncé while Jay Z and Timberlake performed 'Holy Grail' on stage during JT's sold-out show at Barclays.

I don't know what is going on with this girls career. She clearly wants to give something to the fans though, starting with the video for her new single 'Bang.'

The video consists of filtered lights and sees Nicole bumping and grinding alongside a male dancer. The steamy and seductive nature of the choreo gives the visual a Ciara kind of vibe. Maybe even some Beyoncé too.

Better late than never right? Jennifer Lopez 'Dance Again' tour is scheduled to debut on HBO on December 31st. 

The special goes behind the scenes of her first world tour, which visited 65 cities and five continents. It will also include intimate documentary footage and interviews with the singer and her closest friends, who accompanied her on the road, alongside her kids.

So much pop power in one room! But if anyone can pull off it off, it's going to be the almighty Taylor Swift, who turned 25! 

Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, and Jay Z were three of many A-List musicians to hit up a Special Pizza Birthday party at Swift’s Tribeca Apartment late Friday night. Four sprinter vans full of guests arrived at the apartment, as well as lots of SUV’s and limos.

It's all about that Christmas slumber party for Ariana Grande and her dancers in the festive visuals for 'Santa Tell Me.'

The video was cute and fun and definitely had a home-made feel to it but I think that was the sole purpose of it. The track is just a Christmas single, so something over the top would have been a tad bit unnecessary.

Beyoncé's 'RISE' is currently the best selling celebrity fragrance in the UK...

It's getting to that point where Forbes lists are becoming unbelievable if Beyoncé isn't dominating them. 

According to new reports, her 'Rise' perfume is expected to sell over 750,000 units in the UK, which will net her £1.5 million. This puts her in the position as having the biggest selling celebrity fragrance of 2014 in the UK.

Before listing Rihanna’s many accomplishments (54 million albums sold, and seven Grammys won), Brad Pitt sure had fun introducing Rihanna’s performance last night.

During her inaugural Diamond Ball charity gala in Beverly Hills, Rihanna stepped onto the stage in a gorgeous dark blue Zac Posen gown and huge Chopard diamond necklace and sang a medley of her hits with a live orchestra.

Beyoncé commemorates one year anniversary of visual album...

A year ago today, Beyoncé released her game-changing self-titled visual album, 'BEYONCÉ.' 

She has chosen to commemorate it by releasing an 11-minute retrospective short film, titled ‘Yours and Mine,’ celebrating the one-year anniversary of that very project. Watch below, as the singer reflects on life, feminism, sexuality, marriage, motherhood and family.

Last night, Rihanna performed and hosted her first annual ‘Diamond Ball’ in Beverly Hills. 

The event, launched in honour of her grandparents, benefits The Clara Lionel Foundation, which Rihanna founded in 2012. The foundation works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture.
