Ready to hear a catchy bassline? Well, Jessie J drops a spanking rude new tune courtesy of a lyrical video.
‘Excuse My Rude’ follows 'Wild' and 'It’s My Party', and features teen rapper Becky G. The promotional single is lifted off her as-yet untitled second album (out in stores on September 23rd) via Island and Lava Records. The track is a thumping, urban-pop number, laced with some angry chords, and hard hitting drums. On the feisty break-up anthem, Jessie does the make-up & break-up thing and now she's well and truly over it!
The song has quite an infectious hook and Jessie takes on the playful approach with her singing, using her stuttering signature style to create certain words out of syllables and consonant clusters. I absolutely love how she’s still keeping her playful, urban edge with the music. It's not her best work to date, but at least it's a massive upgrade from her first two singles which were just not up to par.
