Bow down, bitches: Rihanna to receive Icon Award & perform at AMAs...

According to the Los Angeles Times, Rihanna will be the first artist to be honoured with the Icon Award at the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 24th! The ceremony, which will see Rihanna perform, airs live from the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE that day at 8PM on ABC.
Numbers don't lie!

Throughout the course of a career spanning eight years, she has sold 50 million albums and 180 million singles worldwide, has seven albums which have spawned 12 #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and she holds the title for best-selling digital artist of all time. All she needs is one more #1 to match Michael Jackson's record.

The show’s producer Larry Klein says:
“The first-ever Icon Award was created to honor an artist whose body of work has made a profound influence over pop music on a global level. Rihanna’s iconic and innovative sound has enabled her to become one of the most influential and bestselling artists of all time.”
Slay!

Other AMA performers include Jennifer Lopez, TLC, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Kendrick Lamar, Ke$ha, One Direction, and this year’s host, Pitbull.
