Mariah Carey took to the stage last night to perform her brand new single for the first time at the 2014
BET Honors. She was perched on top of a piano while belting out the track in a (non-red) Jessica Rabbit style gown and some matching gloves. Her vocals were said to have been live (we'll see).
Nothing much was said about the song, but it is widely reported to be called
'You’re Mine'. She will reportedly promote it on
The View on Wednesday (Feb 12th) and has shot two music videos. One in Puerto Rico and one in New York. The other video is unknown. She is also slated to perform on BET’s international network
on Feb 28th! She's coming ya'll!
Those in attendance described the song as a mid-tempo ballad with soaring vocals. MC has worked with
Jermaine Dupri, Wale, Mike Will Made It,
James Fauntleroy, and
Darhyl 'DJ' Camper Jr for her upcoming new album
