Jennifer Hudson & Cynthia Erivo perform 'The Color Purple' on GMA...

In support of her starring role on Broadway's 'The Color Purple,' Jennifer Hudson and co-star Cynthia Erivo belt out the title track on GMA earlier today.

This performance was so divine, and powerful. They took it to church without trying to out sing each other. Amazing. And this is coming from someone who has never been a fan of Jen's vocal technique. Then again, I think Jen performed with ease because this type of music is exactly her lane. The official opening of 'The Color Purple' takes place on Dec 10th.
