The Hallmark Channel movie directed by and co-starring Mariah Carey was the most watched cable show of the day booking almost FOUR million viewers.
Despite the reviews, Mariah's 'A Christmas Melody' snagged 3.95 million viewers and a 0.6 in 18-49. Good for her! Other rivalries didn't come close statistically.
I have to admit that Mariah's acting in the movie wasn't the greatest, but she's never been known for her Oscar-worthy acting chops. It probably won't win any awards or garner critical acclaim, but at least most would enjoy it for being the cheesy Christmas movie that it was.
