It's official! Mariah Carey scores record breaking 19th number one on Billboard Hot 100.

"We did it!"
We knew it was going to happen. OMG! Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' hits number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time today, 25 years after its release. She now has 19 Hot 100 number ones, extending her record as the soloist with the most #1 hits in history. It's insane it took this long, but at least we know Mariah still has what it takes to top the charts, even if it did take 11 years. And 25 years for THIS song. Mariah has now earned a #1 single on the Hot 100 in three consecutive decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s). Anyway, I pretty much said what I needed to say in yesterday's post, but I should have reserved it for this post instead. Cue the brand new video. We're all waiting for it.

Congratulations MC! What a lovely way to end the last Christmas of this decade.

Mariah also performed a sold out show at Madison Square Garden last night. The crowds could be heard chanting: "19! 19! 19!" Check out her performance of the festive classic from last night's show below:
