Over the weekend, Normani shared a preview of her new music. The song samples Aaliyah's 'One In A Million.' She looks amazing and the song sounds very promising. I'm not just saying that as a diehard Aaliyah fan and my interest in her album has been reignited. Looks like she is going the R&B route after all. No complaints on my end. I just hope her team promotes her the right way.

I didn't even pick up on the Aaliyah OIAM sample! Second female artist to use it this year - I love what Ariana did with it on "Westside".
I guess. I'm just over the whole "vibes" era. Sza, Jhene Aiko, Solange, ChloexHalle etc, have already done it to the fullest. If I want to "vibe out", I'll just listen to Sade or Aaliyah, it's been done to death over the past 6/7 years.
Vibes is not a damn genre. Let these people make music. If you don’t like, don’t listen. Anyway, the snippet sounds promising.
She should go the Dua Lipa route and juts make classic dance bobs that will be played forever and coin will always be there.
Then second album mix it up with what she wants.
Just give us the album and save all the photoshoots, magazines ect for the real album roll out.
