Ashanti ❝grateful❞ to finally get credit for J.Lo’s hit singles...

Ashanti exclusively spoke to Metro.co.uk about finally getting her flowers for her contribution to some of Jennifer Lopez’s biggest hits. She wrote the remix for 2002’s ❝Ain’t it Funny,❞ and also recorded the demo for ❝I’m Real,❞ which was released in 2001 (her vocals could still be heard on the final recording.) This Ashanti and J.Lo discourse is something I'm starting to find rather tiresome and boring. Ashanti didn’t make J.Lo’s career and she was always credited for the ❝Ain’t it Funny❞ remix. But when you're constantly seeing things like, Ashanti made J.Lo’s entire career,❞ you start to believe your own hype.

The Foolish❞ singer is set to tour the UK this summer in celebration of her 20th anniversary.

I love Ashanti but.....she didn't write If You Had My Love, Waiting For Tonight, Let's Get Loud or Love Don't Cost A Thing. You know, the songs that were hits for J-Lo before we knew who Ashanti was!
