Beyoncé’s ❝Lemonade❞ was released six years ago...

Six years ago today, Beyoncé dropped her sixth studio album ❝Lemonade.❞ The conceptual visual album saw commercial success, becoming the best-selling album of 2016 globally. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, with 653,000 units (485,000 in pure sales.) The album was met with universal critical acclaim and is widely regarded as her best work, although this is widely subjective (not my favorite). One of the reasons why some would see it as a monumental moment in pop culture is because Solange battered Jay Z in an elevator two years prior. And of course a usually private Beyoncé wanted to air out good haired Becky and the problems in her marriage.
