Rihanna officially announces new single, ❝Lift Me Up.❞

In even more exciting news, Rihanna has announced that her new song ❝Lift Me Up❞ will arrive on Friday. Serving as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, the cut is the lead single from the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. It was written by Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson, who also produced the song. Hm, generally not a fan of songs for movies as they’re often not a representation of the artist but of the movie. Anyway, will wait to I hear it in full before casting aspersions. Welcome back Ri-Ri!

I'm happy to hear new music, but this is getting old. The people that actually have talent take decades to release music because they are more interested in building an empire instead of making music. I miss when musicians focus on just that, music.

I agree with you both. This sounds like it's going to be a midtempo or a ballad and Rihanna is known for the bangers. So I probably won't be crazy about it. I think her fans are just grateful it's new music regardless.

I agree with all of you. It's probably going to score just because it's her first song after 6 years, no matter if it's good or bad. Still looking forward to hearing it though. I'm curious.
