❝Renaissance❞ producer reveals Beyoncé’s strict methods to avoid leaks...

Honey Dijon, who is credited to have worked as a producer on Beyoncé’s two 'Renaissance' cuts 'Cozy' and 'Alien Superstar' reveals to the New York Times that she worked on TWENTY songs for the project. She only found out which songs ended up on the album when the tracklist was revealed to the public. A lot of producers in the past have developed mouth diarrhoea and will loosely talk about producing on her projects (hence why they are ordered to sign NDAs). It is why her albums are now always shrouded in strict secrecy to prevent leaks.

I don’t get it - what’s the so-called strict method? How does what’s revealed here prevent leaks? Didn’t the album leak in full a few days before its official release?

The album would have leaked a lot sooner if she wasn't strict about the process. She doesn't tell producers what songs have made the final cut to stop information from getting out which in turn makes it harder for any leaks to occur (or for any leaks to occur far too early which was the case with 'B'Day).
