Zig a zig nah! Imagine an episode of The Crown showing calls to the palace that The Spice Girls and Sir Elton John were among several acts to turn down a slot to perform at the coronation of King Charles on May 7th. Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Adele and Robbie Williams are all said to have said NO due to their busy schedules. Sir Elton John was never going to perform because he absolutely loved Princess Diana. The Spice Girls don't have busy schedules either because they're no longer in demand. If there was a hefty pay cheque at the end of it, their schedules would have been cleared with the quickness. Otherwise, Mel B would have had all their heads on the chopping block.
The group first performed for Charles in 1997, celebrating the 21st anniversary of the Prince's Trust.
