Ok so I like Chaka's music but let's not pretend this woman has huge vocals or ever did. Mariah definitely has a bigger range than her so there will always be some hidden resentment or in Chaka's case, full display resentment haha!
Chaka definitely has vocals. She doesn't have a 25 octave range but her belts and technique are still impeccable, especially compared to the average singer. Chaka is a legend for a reason, just like Gladys whose range isn't the widest either , but singing is more than just range. Mariah has more than Whitney, but Whitney is still considered the GOAT because her gift made you feel something that range alone cannot.
Chaka is a clown. She couldn't sing all that well then and certainly cannot sing now. Did you see her on Wendy's birthday special. Girl just did some hoarse ad libs and then called it a day. The nerve of her. Seriously what a deluded egotistical wack!
