Beyoncé looks over her late uncle Johnny backstage on tour...

The 1-year anniversary of Beyoncé's 'Renaissance' album has just passed and her 'Renaissance' tour continues across the States. 

The whole project paid homage to Black queer dance music, and as we know, her late Uncle Johnny was gay and proud. Ahead of her show last night, Beyoncé was seen holding a photo while looking over her late uncle backstage. Elevating the spirit of a deceased loved one through ancestral veneration is what Beyoncé did for her Uncle Johnny with 'Renaissance.' 

And beautifully so.
