New Music: Jhené Aiko – ‘The Pressure’...

With her 'Souled Out' album pushed back to September, Jhené Aiko drops a new joint called 'The Pressure.' The cut, which premiered exclusively on Vogue.com, finds the singer reflecting on the difficulty and stresses she encountered while putting together the new album.
Produced by the Fisticuffs, the track comprises rippling guitar riffs and ambient synths over a riveting percussion line. It's a good song and her consistency is to be applauded. However, I just wish her vocals had more depth. Her voice is very monotone and tends to fall flat. To coincide with the album release, she will embark on a five-city tour with The Weeknd and ScHoolboy Q starting September 19th.
