The Numbers are in: Tinashe’s new album ❝333❞ sells 6K units...

Debuting a little lower than 'Songs For You', Tinashe's new album '333' enters the Billboard 200 chart at #175. In its first full tracking week, it sells 5,800 units SPS (of which 1,200 came from pure sales.) These are standard numbers for Tinashe. Her independently released predecessor 'Songs For You' did similar numbers selling 6,900 units first week (830 in pure sales) and debuted at #147.

The album before that, 'Joyride,' was released by major label RCA selling 9,800 units in its first week, of which 4,710 came from pure sales. It debuted at number #58 on the US Billboard 200. '333' is actually a solid body of work, and despite her work ethic and talent, she will always be underrated sadly. On a more positive note, she still charted without a physical release, so the little wins and small victories in life are always worth celebrating. For indie project with no hits that’s still cute but as she go touring she will be fine!

Personally I think it's her worst album to date, didn't get it or enjoy it at all. I'll stay bumping my faves off Aquarius, Night Nightride, Joyride and Songs For You.

I agree to an extent.

The best songs are the singles. She needs to work with better writers and producers.

I just found out about this album....she needs to work harder on promotions and marketing. I listened to the full album and the songs all sound the same. I tried to get into it yet felt that a hook and a sound was missing. I did like Undo,Small reminders, and Bouncin. The other songs sound a lot like she was channeling FKA TWIGS>Over all it's ok. I would have liked less experimental and more RB/POP. It is not a soulful album it is more ambient sounds and echos.

It's better that Joyride and Songs for you, and I loved both those albums. This one really resonates with me.

Her music is personal to her and that does not always translate into the fans liking it too. I stopped listening to her quite a while ago due to unfinished sounding songs and lack of production. I can tell she produced the songs in her bedroom because it has that low quality to it. She is not investing back into her music by using high quality producers and equipment. Also, her look is lack lustre. She looks like she still shops at Forever 21. She was recently on The Jennifer Hudson Show and she looks cheap and tired. She had had on a long nylon black Ali Express dress on with an ugly silver and black vest with tan fake fur on it. She only got 2 minutes on the show and most people seemed not to know who she is.
