After 13 years, Britney’s father Jamie Spears has completely been removed from her conservatorship, effective immediately. This puts an end to his legal authority over her finances. Her father and his lawyers were reportedly requesting to terminate her conservatorship today as soon as possible. Doing so would have allowed him to walk away without a full scale investigation and no consequences. Ugh. Last year, he was singing a different tune. He was expressing adamantly that the conservatorship remain in place for her own safety (and so that he could continue his misconduct). As reported, federal authorities are now looking into claims that Spears and his team used invasive surveillance on the singer. Britney’s lawyer Mathew Rosengart, totally went against her father's request in court to instantly end the conservatorship. Rosengart was pushing for a deep probing into her father's corruptive activity. Her dad didn't step down because he wanted to. He stepped down because his hand was being forced.
With her father being suspended, the singer’s lawyer is asking the judge to delay the termination of her conservatorship to get the books, documents and records (that would need to be submitted by her father) and uncover possible "corruption.” As a result of this, every ounce of his conservatorship abuse will be exposed, and this is what he was trying to avoid. There is only one person that had the power to decide whether Britney will remain in a conservatorship controlled by her father. And that was Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny. Today, she finally did the right thing. Now we wait for Pimp Daddy Spears to go to jail after investigation! Britney certainly picked the RIGHT lawyer this time.
