Doja Cat is one of those artists who is fluent in all genres. Despite wanting to be taken more seriously as a rapper, award ceremonies like the Billboard and American Music Awards have come under criticism in their categorisation of the star.She has even won in R&B categories over artists that actually do real R&B music! Taking to Instagram Live on Christmas Eve, she says she wants to release a double album; one side consisting of 7 pop-rap tracks, and the other side consisting of 12 straight Hip-Hop songs. Doja would like Jay Versace and 9th Wonder to produce the latter. The truth is that Doja Cat has always been mostly a pop/hip-hop artist, with varying degrees of genres.
Of course Doja would like to be categorised accordingly with this next project. She released her latest album ❝Planet Her❞ in June. It earned her eight Grammy nominations including Song of the year, Record of the year and Album of the year.

Yeah...um...I was like...doesn't she do that already? She need to just create her own generate and run with that...it would fit her and she would be an innovator...
