Normani’s publishing deal, Beyoncé’s 1st Day time Emmy, Mel B’s MBE

When I was in high school, I absolutely loved the Spice Girls. Scary Spice was of course my favourite, because she was feisty, fiery and fabulous. She has always been a strong woman to me and more so after speaking out about her experiences with domestic abuse. Mel says she suffered domestic abuse while married to ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, a claim he denies. We all saw the bruises when she was judging on The X Factor, unless he's implying she walked into a bloody door. She received her MBE from Prince William for services to domestic violence at Buckingham Palace. She also dedicated it to
all the other women who are dealing with domestic violence. GIRL POWER.

Beyoncé thrives when she's nostalgic. Her theme song for ❝Talks with Mama Tina❞ could
very well serve as an influence for an upcoming R&B/neo soul album. The song has been nominated for her first Daytime Emmy in the Best Original Song category. A win could actually be a nudge in the right neo soul direction. Normani announces her global publishing deal with Hipgnosis Songs Group ahead of the release of her debut album. The deal includes all of the future works by Normani. Variety also reports that the announcement of a publishing deal usually happens before releasing new music. She says she is proud to take her catalogue to new and exciting places, but her catalogue is very skinny right now and needs weight.
