With Janet Jackson being an LGBT ally, it is being questioned why she would continue to visit and support homophobic, abusive Qatar. Last night, she attended the star-studded Fashion Trust Arabia Prize Awards in Qatar. While strutting around in a chic Alexander McQueen blazer dress, she rubbed shoulders with her old choreographer and friend Paula Abdul. As for making her presence felt in a country which upholds a homophobic regime, her ex-husband, the father of her son Eissa, is an £800m Qatari tycoon. So, go figure...
