Do NOT cover my songs, BIAAAATCHES! Mariah Carey does not feel anyone is worthy enough to cover HER songs in an upcoming TV series about HER life. She says she’s more concerned with casting a talented actress as opposed to someone who can sing.
I don't think it's about 'cast the girl who sings the Mariah Carey style,' whatever that is. It's about casting a great actress with a somewhat similar look and just making sure the acting is there. Because we have the music – they can sing along to it.
Quite frankly, can anyone blame her? There is no one on this earth who can sing (her songs) better than SHE can. The singer and Lee Daniels are developing a TV series inspired by her bestselling memoir, ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey.’ Who would you like to see play MC in the upcoming TV series inspired by her memoir? My choice would be Zendaya.
