Messy rollout: Chlöe Bailey debuts ❝Cheat Back❞ live on ‘Kimmel’ + premieres ❝In Pieces❞ music video...

Unsurprisingly, Chloë Bailey's album rollout is as messy as it comes. In preparation for it's March 31st release this Friday, she debuted new song 'Cheat Back' during a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. A music video for the album's title track 'In Pieces' was also premiered.

No one understands why. These are random songs that no one has heard of before (until now). She dropped 'Body Do' last week, and recently released singles ‘Pray It Away,’ and the Chris Brown-assisted ‘How Does It Feel.’ So why aren't these songs getting the promo live treatment? The album itself won't be anticipated as much because we've heard nearly all of it already. It would seem Chloë went solo way too soon. 'Ungodly Hour' which she released with sister Halle was the album in which casual listeners started getting to know who they were as artists. If they allowed this to marinate before pursuing solo projects, maybe, just maybe, Chloë's solo attempts would have faired better. Even Mathew Knowles knew Beyoncé was not ready to go solo until she dropped a couple of albums with Destiny's Child. What exactly is Parkwood's strategy and what are they hoping to achieve here?

I completely agree. I only started knowing about her and her sister and then she went solo. It was too soon. She should have released more albums with her sister and acted in more projects before doing this.

I thought she was amazing in Swarm.

Hmmm....interesting how your tone about her has changed since she released "Have Mercy".

All I'm gonna say is this, I think this debut album has less to do with Chloe, than it does Parkwood. From trying to make her Beyoncé 2.0 to now trying to salvage this era by associating her with the Little Mermaid and releasing the music.

I've enjoyed more of Chlöe's music than not, but I will say the attempts to make her a cheap replica of her Mentor was always weird and her mentor releasing certain shit when she had something out is also strange. Chlöe's still talented tho.

You guys only took notice after their 3rd album which is sad cause they were giving QUALITY music. They went solo cause they’re both in their 20s figuring their shit out and banking coins on their solo endeavors. They already stated they will be getting back together just making their solo coins and branching out for a while. Chloe was dropping singles and filmed 3 movies in the process while being a brand ambassador for Neutrogena, Pepsi, Nike, Urban Oufitters, Tiffany &Co. and other products. Say what you want bout Chloe but this girl stays relevant and keeping her name out there. And her album rollout is the traditional dropping a track till album release date which we did. We only heard 4 out of 14 songs on the album.

Actually Toya, Beyoncè went solo because of the OVERWHELMING SUCCESS of The Writings on the Wall & Survivor!

ChloeXHalle didn't have that DC level of success, BUT both they (& Normani) built their brands on social media, with product endorsements & Film/TV projects but their music just hasn't really connected yet!
