Janet Jackson | 30 years of ❝Janet.❞

On May 18th, 1993, Janet Jackson released her fifth studio album, 'Janet.'

Spawning the hits 'That's the Way Love Goes', 'Again', and 'If', the then 27-year-old used the project to rebrand herself as a sex symbol. It boasted an eclectic range of styles from funk, R&B and rap to pop, house and rock!

1997's 'The Velvet Rope' will always remain my favorite, but this one is never too far off.

I agree, The Velvet Rope is my fave Janet album, followed by this and then Damita Jo.

Velvet Rope will forever stay as my no1 Miss Jackson album. But 'Janet' has a special place in my heart as it was the first album of her that I had bought. I listen to these two records all the time. 90s were sooo kind to us 🤗
