Frank Ocean disqualified from 2017 Grammy race

Welp! This sounds like drama and politics rolled into one.

A source confirms to Billboard that Frank Ocean's 'Blond' and visual album 'Endless' were not submitted for consideration by his labels or management. Both albums, released via Apple Music exclusively, dropped well before the 2017 Grammy eligibility cutoff date of September 30th 2016. Damn...

Frank Ocean trolls the crap out of his fans

Boy, bye! This week, The New York Times had announced Frank Ocean's third studio album 'Boys Don't Cry' would be coming out on Friday (yesterday) as an Apple exclusive for two weeks. This story was picked up by all the major music sites.

Frank even had an empty room streaming via Apple Music on his website. So okay, midnight arrives and there's still no album. It's being reported that the album may not be out until... November! As of now, he's rightfully receiving backlash for mercilessly teasing fans up until this point. Dude, you have Internet. You knew the date was circulating. All it would have taken was one simple tweet just to clear things up. Now fans may have to wait another three months?!?! After such a farce, how long does he expect people to even care?

Listen to Frank Ocean's underwhelming new song in two years ‘Memrise’...

Taking to his Tumblr yesterday, Frank Ocean released a brand new song after a two-year hiatus.

The stripped down 'Memrise,' has lyrics letting a lover know just how he imagines them. "I could fuck you all night long, from a memory alone,” he sings in a spoken word, staccato delivery. The production is very nostalgic with a bluesy, organic chill to it but this new tune is simply lackluster.

Frank Ocean working on new album with Hit-Boy & Rodney Jerkins...

There are certain names I wouldn't expect Frank Ocean to be associated with musically, especially a ratchet producer like Hit-Boy of all people.

But then, Beyoncé worked with them both on her last album so what's good enough for Bey is good enough for her pal Frank. According to Attitude, Frank is currently in the studio recording new music with hitmakers Hit-Boy and Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins.
