Mariah Carey announces Vegas residency...

Mariah Carey has announced her headlining Vegas residency at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace. Not many artist will ever be afforded the opportunity to play a Vegas residency. She should take full advantage especially since albums are not selling anymore and the music industry is not so giving these days. It is actually a smart move for any artist to go down that road of making their money through performances.

Everyone is doing it, be it a residency, a private concert or in Keri Hilson's case, supporting another artist on stage. I think she will do just fine as long as she hires a vocal coach to get her voice back in order. Mariah announced this news on Ellen this week, and dressed up as a maid to surprise fans at a hotel. The concert titled 'Mariah Carey #1’s' will see the legendary diva perform all 18 of her chart toppers.

She is also planning to release a new edition of her worldwide best-selling album '#1’s' later this year. The updated compilation will include all 18 of her number one hits, along with newly recorded music. The residency kicks off on May 6th, and tickets to the first 18 performances in 2015 are on sale now. Prices range from $55-$250. Check out all the details over on her official website.

Will you be there?
