Ashanti performed her new single 'Say Less' featuring Ty Dolla $ign for the first time yesterday on live TV. I hate to say it, but performing this song now is like trying to encourage a dead horse to get up and yeehaw! Simply, a lost cause.
I know Ashanti has spoken candidly about her disdain for 360 deals, but I don't think the Independent route is for everyone. The music she puts out just isn't profitable, and it should be since she's paying for everything out of pocket as it is.
The performance lacked energy, but perhaps tiredness took over prior to her sold-out gig with Ja Rule the night before.
