Mariah Carey lights up the Empire State Building.

More celebrations
Mariah Carey stepped out last night to light up the Empire State Building. This was for the 25th anniversary party of her song, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You.' As we all know, the track just hit the #1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the first time since it was released 25 years ago. And according to a report from The Economist, the festive classic brought in a total of $60 million dollars back in 2017. The song has already earned more than $2 million in royalties since the song was first added to Spotify, according to a study by Broadband Deals. As I've said before, Mariah can live off the royalties off that one song for life without even needing to touch earnings made from her tours and previous music. The song alone is a stone cold goldmine.

Sooooo... let's talk about this appearance. She could have worn a dress that was more flattering, because this wasn't IT. Mariah gets everything right when it comes to her music career, but the one thing she can't do is dress correctly. I'm still deciding, which is worst to be honest. MC isn't just the Queen of Christmas. She's also the Queen of cleavage, so if you're ever wondering if the girls will ever go into hibernation, think again. It would be like Santa without his trademark beard. They go hand in hand now.

Yesterday she unveiled an extended preview of the Joseph Kahn-directed music video and it now has an official premiere date of December 20th (this Friday), five days before Christmas. Mariah wants to turn this into a worldly event, because whether or not you have work or college, she aims to drop the visuals at midnight (12am ET). But 30 minutes before the big premiere, she will be doing a live Q&A with fans on her YouTube channel. You know what would be amazing though? If the song could remain at number one for the entire remainder of 2019 and into early 2020. It would mean, she's achieved a number one in FOUR consecutive decades. With the video set to premiere and the streams from that set to impact significantly, she might just achieve it.
