Whitney Houston, first black artist to have 3 Diamond albums...

The RIAA announces that Whitney Houston makes history as the first black artist to earn 3 RIAA Diamond albums (equivalent to 10 million sales.)

Her 1987 sophomore album, 'Whitney' now joins her self-titled 1985 debut album (13 million) and 1992′s 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack (18 million) in achieving Diamond successes. I'm quite surprised. I always thought Michael Jackson achieved this already. I checked only to find 'Thriller' and 'Bad' have so far only hit that milestone. That said, this could not have happened to a more deserving artist. Sadly, Whitney is no longer here to enjoy such a big achievement. Her incredible legacy will always live on.

Congrats to Whitney, may she RIP! Imo, The Bodyguard Soundtrack was a game-changer! It was PRIME Whitney & I Have Nothing was her best song & would've been the biggest song of her career & would've won an Oscar for David Foster, if it was the 1st single over I Will Always Love You.
