Tinashe doesn't agree that she should be limited to a particular genre “box” musically. She says her music is often difficult to categorize genre-wise, leading some people to believe she was unfocused, or lacked direction when this was just an example of her sonic range. 

She's underrated and talented, but success is all about playing the game right and going wherever the wind takes you. If going more pop is a formula that works for her, she should embrace it. I don’t think her genre hopping is the issue. She doesn’t have good singles.

Songs for You is still in my rotation...def gives me like urban-pop and I dont think genre is such a dirty word tbh
