You don't have to be Mystic Meg to have seen this one coming. I've been hinting at this for several months now. Jennifer Lopez has everything. Yet... despite having everything, this woman can’t hold a man down to save her life. Quite frankly, I'm not surprised she and Alex Rodriguez have broken up after 4 years together. Their relationship was plagued with cheating rumours and multiple wedding postponements (they could have married without a ceremony if they truly wanted it for themselves). Another thing... when she said last month that her and Alex had therapy to help their relationship, I knew it was the beginning of the end. Apparently... they broke up today, according to TMZ but no one knows the actual reason that lead to the break-up. She will have a new man before the end of the year. Sooooo... I'll just let J.Lo be J.Lo.
I'm speaking in general, not just about J-Lo. How many women have all of her exes had? Or all of Rihanna's exes had? Yet no one labels Chris Brown or Diddy as men who can't keep a woman, it's always the other way around.
I guess because it's more acceptable for a man to go from women to women, as opposed to a woman who would definitely be slut shamed over it (see the latest Netflix and Taylor Swift controversy). Societal norms suck but what can you do?
Well we can all be mindful of our words and how we use them as a starting point I guess.
What's the Netflix/Taylor Swift thing? I haven't renewed my subscription, take it in monthly turns so just watching Amazon Prime and Apple TV this month, Netflix and NowTV next month.
She talking about Jennifer Lopez reputation, What about rihanna reputation no-one is trying to wife her up, Rihanna is talking about ready to-become a single parent... That's why she has settle for asap rocky who has publicly said he's addicted to orgies & she has accepted that... The struggle.
But Rihanna isn't marrying them though, or going through multiple engagements only for them to fail. She dates them, and then moves on lol. That's the difference. J.Lo is on her FOURTH marriage, which certainly isn't a good look. Clearly marriage is not for her so I don't know why she keeps doing it. I understand she's a romantic at heart, but sometimes you have to be real with yourself, and think... is this really a good idea? She's not getting any younger and wants that stability so I get it... but still.
As for that Taylor Swift situation, you don't need Netflix. It was widely reported everywhere. I thought you'd have been aware of the misogynistic, slut shaming remark made towards Taylor Swift in the Netflix series 'Ginny & Georgia.' The backlash was huge, which caused Taylor herself to speak out in defence.
Ah ok. Nope never heard of Ginny & Georgia. And I can't stand Taylor Swift. The only song of hers I find tolerable is "Willow", and that's probably because I didn't know it was her song for a good while.

Why is the onus always on the women to "keep a man"? Funny no one ever implies the same regarding the men being unable to keep a woman.
