Ashanti shuts down any romantic reconciliation with her ex Nelly...

The Fat Joe Verzuz recap is spilling some tea. Ashanti basically said it was good to see Nelly but ain't no spinning the block! Following Nelly going out of his way to hug her at Ja Rule and Fat Joe's Verzuz battle this week, she addresses a rumored reconciliation with the rapper. Nothing is happening and she had no idea he was going to be there. She adds that they haven't spoken to each other since their break-up in 2013. When he came over, she didn't know what to expect but says it was positive. Ja Rule said to her, “You know, Nelly’s single now,” to which she retorted, “Yeah, but I ain’t!” Nelly says, “I didn’t want no uncomfortable feelings” in a separate interview. Nelly is old news. She'd be "Foolish" to go back to him (pun intended). Ashanti has moved on. No hard feelings!

I've never taken a liking to Fat Joe, so didn't watch this Versuz which is a shame cos I love the Ja Rule and Ashanti collapse. Always preferred Big Pun, rest is soul.

You can just watch their segments online. However, they've performed together so many times (including recently), that you will probably just feel you've seen it all before anyway.

Yeah, I'll just stick to listening to the tracks on Spotify lol. Like you say, not much point watching unless it's a rare battle like Brandy v Monica, Gladys v Patti, Bobby B v Keith Sweat, XSCAPE v SWV etc
