This is Jay-Z's first year of eligibility and he serves as the 8th Hip Hop act to be inducted. I remember when this news was first announced and people were fuming that he was chosen over Iron Maiden. Honestly though, Jay-Z has about as much rock & roll in him as Alvin and the Chipmunks. But as a legendary rapper, he has certainly earned his flowers.
