VOTE: Who will release an album first between Normani & Chlöe Bailey?

Back in the old days, an artist would release a single
and then drop an album three weeks later.
Nowadays the new generation of artists will release songs and wait months (sometimes years) to release their album, which in turn harms them as the hype dies down.

Normani released her first solo single ❝Motivation❞ two years ago and then released ❝Wild Side❞ in July. That was five months ago with just one performance. Chlöe Bailey dropped her debut solo single ❝Have Mercy❞ two months ago and has done multiple performances. Major big difference between how their rollouts are being handled.

But WHO will release their album first?

CHLOE! She's the "REAL" talent between the two.

The fact that folks think there is a higher chance of Blue Ivy releasing an album BEFORE Normani is sending me! 😭

@Toya you shady for putting blue ivy in the poll.... Ha.Ha... Also have you thought about doing a YouTube blog channel???

I've thought about it but it would take more time and work. Sometimes I struggle to even keep up with THIS blog. That's not to say I've completely ruled it out.

I remember when Black Twitter used to give Beyoncè & Parkwood HELL for the lack of commercial exposure & success for ChloexHalle! Nowadays though, Chlöe & Halle have become night & day, Beyoncè & Solange 2.0 & it is working in their favor now!

Normani is, 1. on a Major Label & 2. She's got 2 VMA MAIN STAGE BOOKINGS, NOT BECAUSE OF HER SONGS BUT PURELY OFF OF TWITTER HYPE! Missy Elliot, Lauryn Hill, Brandy nor Beyoncè had THAT LEVEL OF SUPPORT! So we can't say it's because of "colorism" or lack of support!

@Anonymous, lies!!! First thing first, we are in different time. A lot of things have changed, record labels are doing the minimum these days and music isn't selling like it used to. While Missy, Lauryn and Brandy may not had it so easy, the same can't be said for Beyonce. Beyonce was part of a very successful group, she did movies before releasing her solo debut album, she did a lot before her first album came out, she was EVERYWHERE !!!! Beyonce was part of one of the best labels in the music industry, her father was a beast at managing her, etcccc.......

BULLSHIT! We LIVED IT! Destiny's Child became successful after The Writings On The Wall blew up in 2000 when Say My Name went #1! They did not & I repeat DID NOT have N'Sync/Backstreet Boys/Britney Spears Level Promotion & Push during TWOTW era! TWOTW was more of a success because of word-of-mouth after the member changes. They didn't have the promotion or the big budget videos like Lauryn Hill or Missy Elliot.

Same with Dangerously in Love! Beyoncè was everywhere AFTER Crazy In Love PROVED COLUMBIA RECORDS WRONG! They didn't CIL would be a hit & at the time, they were against her adding Jay-Z to the song because he was NOT Pop/Top40 radio darling like Nelly & Ja Rule were! CIL was NOT her biggest radio hit BUT The Live Performances boosted the song even more!

Normani had THE HUGE ROLL OUT but nothing has really came of it. Motivation & Wild Side both! With a Cardi B feature after Cardi had THREE #1 hits!

@Anonymous, because you're a Beyonce stan, you're coming of bias! I don't care for Normani and can't name one of her former group's name to save my life, however, Beyonce had it better than her and way easier!I will say Beyonce was hungrier and that showed in her work ethic and that also helps too.

No stanning here!

Crazy In Love had to be a Billboard hit before Beyoncè performed at the VMAs! She didn't perform at the VMAs off of Twitter or Blog Hype like Normani did! Motivation & Wild Side are NOWHERE NEAR AS BIG OF A HIT as Crazy In Love!

Also, Beyoncè played a pivotal role in Destiny's Child success, Normani didn't! Jumpin Jumpin, Independent Women, Survivor & Bootylicious were crafted by Beyoncè! The Survivor album/era broke records on Columbia Records in 2001, that's what secured Beyonce's solo deal. Two different situations between Beyoncè & Normani!
