Janet Jackson steps out to honor Elizabeth Anionwu.

We're not worthy!
Janet Jackson was on hand to award Dame Elizabeth Anionwu with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2019 Pride of Britain Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Monday night. Elizabeth overcame a brutal childhood and prejudice to become a nurse. As a result, Lizzy also helped to transform care for people with sickle cell disease. A remarkable woman supporting a remarkable woman. I love to see it. A woman should always have class, and Janet embodies it in every single way possible. I still wish she'd incorporate more colours into her everyday style but I totally understand black is her thing, and most likely always will be. It's rare Janet makes red carpet appearances (or white linen in this instance), and when she does, it's usually because she's the recipient of honorary awards. It's nice she came out to honour a fellow heroine. Her make-up was on fleek too but when is it never?

I like the shot of her in the hotel right before she showed up. It's like a photoshoot from right out of 1993, the good ol' days. So ageless, and fierce. The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards will be broadcast on ITV on November 5th at 8pm.
