Beyoncé becomes the most nominated female artist in Grammys history.

Bey becomes unbeatable
Beyoncé has been nominated for four Grammy awards, and her fans have cause to celebrate. She becomes the seventh most nominated artist in Grammys history with her 70 nominations. 70-time Grammy nominee Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter certainly has a nice ring to it doncha think? She surpasses Pierre Boulez (67), Kanye West and John Williams (69). Bey is the most nominated female artist in Grammys history and is 10 nods away from being the most nominated artist in Grammy history altogether. This can easily be achieved with the next album, depending on how much it impacts. I mean... her joint album with Jay came and went and made no noise. If I wasn't a major Bey fan, I would not have known about it.

In all fairness, I don't think Bey's selling power has diminished. I just think people don't care about her joint projects with Jay because she is a force on her own, and she thrives on her own and it needs to stay that way. We want Bey, and Bey ONLY. Jay should never be a packaged deal because he just isn't interesting and he certainly dampens her "spirit" (pun intended). Anyway, those unbeatable achievements don't stop there. Bey is also the most awarded female act in history (660), surpassing Whitney Houston (657). As a result of this, she is also the most awarded living act, period. If anyone deserves all their awards, it's this woman. She deserves all of it because she works hard, puts time in her art and doesn't take it for granted. She's admirable.

Here are her latest Grammy nods:
• Best Pop Solo Performance — Spirit
• Best Song Written for Visual Media — Spirit
• Best Pop Vocal Album — The Lion King: The Gift
• Best Music Film — Homecoming
Over the weekend she rocked two different looks while attending the Shawn Carter Foundation Gala across two nights.

The foundation, which was founded by her husband Jay Z in 2002 helps children further their education and all proceeds from Saturday’s event go towards scholarship funds, college prep workshops, goodwill programming, and study abroad programs. The event successfully raised $6 million. They celebrated on Monday, by chilling on board a luxury yacht in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her mom, Tina Knowles, and her stepdad, Richard Lawson. New Jay-less solo album in 2020? Fingers crossed!
