I was contemplating whether or not to do a Janet Jackson post since it is her 54th birthday today. There are so many times you can write a best performances or a best songs type of post before it gets really repetitive.
We know she has an amazing and classic discography and hits for days. We know she's been performing for 50 years. Other than the obvious, Janet Jackson (thee legendary pop icon) should be celebrated simply because she's at a time in her life where she's finally found peace. She finally became a mother and after many years of being snubbed, was finally inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year.
It hasn't always been an easy ride for her. There's been heartbreak and tragedies along the way. But at 54, Janet appears to be in her happy place, and that alone makes me happy too. Happy birthday, Ms Jackson!
