Jennifer Hudson covers ‘Ain’t No Mountain’ for Mastercard ♫♫

Jennifer Hudson is supporting and empowering black women-owned businesses during a challenging pandemic with her rendition of 'Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.' The revamped track was produced by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and serves as a collaboration with Mastercard. Jen was recruited by Mastercard to front the theme song for their Strivers Initiative, which sees them invest $500 million to expand financial access in black communities.

The track definitely has a modern twist to it and will.i.am's influence is very... transparent. But her vocals are not a good fit for the track since this particular song is known for its lightness and subtlety. Some songs don't always require big belts and she did that pretty much throughout.

Funny enough, it actually sounds like she’s trying to exercise some restraint and isn’t very comfortable doing so, hence all the studio magic on her voice.

Do we remember when she butchered 'You Put A Move On My Heart'? JHud needs to stop with the classics!!!!
